Our mission is to support people
with intellectual disabilities
to become and remain
active, contributing and valued
in their communities.
Get A Life Enterprises
is committed to empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities
to make their own choices and experience life
to the fullest by offering
educational support and guidance
to realize their individual potential
in their own home and community.
The anticipated individual outcomes of our services
are to assist and support people to develop their understanding and participation in
adaptive skills, social skills, vocational skills, maintaining health, personal safety, communication, behavior management skills, money management skills, and essential everyday skills
we all need to have a happy productive life.
Our work is guided by the values of Inclusion,
which holds that all people have a right
to live in their communities
and choose the people and places
with which they would like to spend their time.
Get a Life Enterprises was founded by
Laura Broderick and Wynnette Jones
to assist adults with different abilities
to live in a home
of their choosing,
that is developed
and maintained to meet individual needs and wants.
We believe that people with Intellectual Disabilities should have a choice
in the type of support services
they require, some people may choose
to live with a peer roommate,
or opt for a staff roommate
or choose to receive support
in a family environment.
